Qualcomm’s FLO TV launches gadget for watching TV on the go | VentureBeat

The FLO TV Personal Television will play TV that is available through Qualcomm’s own dedicated mobile TV network. The dedicated device will not be a phone; its sole purpose is to let people view TV news, sports, children’s shows, and movies. It will be available for the holiday season for $249.99 and a subscription fee of $8.99 a month.

Whether this succeeds or fails depends entirely on the programming. It’s a content delivery device. If the content isn’t enticing few will bother to buy one. If the content proves popular

Medion’s 24-inch X9613 multitouch all-in-one PC actually looks pretty hot

24-inch multitouch display, a miniature SideShow screen, a gloriously large physical volume knob, and a bunch of convenient media controls along the bottom. Internals aren’t bad either, with a Core 2 Quad Q9000 processor and GeForce GT240M graphics. The price range, unfortunately, is rather steep at 1,499 to 1,900 Euro (about $2,142 to $2,714 US).

22-year-old female driver took a wrong turn and ended up on a dead-end street in Mount Pleasant, Wis., about 35 miles south of Milwaukee, just before noon Friday.

While trying to turn the giant wiener around in a driveway, the driver said she thought she was reversing but instead went forward and crashed the 27-foot frank into the deck and garage of a home.

No one was in the house and no one was injured.
